Wired & Required
A four-minute look at the gap between how you're built and what your role is actually asking of you.
Most personality tools tell you who you are. Almost none tell you where that's costing you.
This one measures two things instead of one.
Wired — your natural disposition across the five traits that show up in nearly every serious model of personality.
Required — how much your current role actually demands of each one.
The interesting part is the distance between them. Where your role asks for more than you're naturally wired to give, you're spending energy to close a gap. That's not a flaw — it's often exactly where growth lives. But unnamed, it quietly shows up as fatigue, inconsistency, or the sense that you're performing a version of yourself.
Where you have more than the role needs, you have capacity going unused — or a strength on the edge of overplaying.

A word on what this is and isn't
This is a reflection instrument built on the Five Factor Model — the dimensional framework behind most validated personality research. It is deliberately short, self-scored, and not a clinically validated psychometric test. It won't diagnose anything or predict your performance. What it will do is give you sharper language for a conversation about your leadership, and surface the one or two questions worth actually sitting with.
How true is each statement of you at work, most of the time?
Please answer every statement before continuing.
Now set the other half of the picture.
Forget how good you are at these. Rate how much your role — the job as it actually exists today, with your team, your stakeholders, your current pressures — demands each one.
Please rate all five before continuing.
Your five gaps
The top bar is how you're wired. The bottom bar is what your role requires. Where the bottom bar runs past the top one, you're stretching.

Three questions your profile raises
These are the ones that are hard to answer alone. That's the point of them.
Want your profile emailed to you — and someone to think it through with?
A profile is data. A debrief is where it becomes useful. Send yourself a copy below, and if you'd like, book 30–45 minutes with me on what your gaps actually mean in your context. No pitch, no obligation. Most people leave with one concrete experiment to run.

Wired & Required is a reflection tool built on the Five Factor Model, not a validated psychometric assessment. Scores describe how you answered today, in your current role. They are a starting point for a conversation — not a verdict on your capability. © Inspired Iterations.
